Our farmers cultivate about 350 hectares of land with toma-toes with a production capacity of 11000 tons of first-class tomatoes. The good climate and soil make suitable condi-tions for cultivating the best quality of tomatoes. Our profes-sional team supervises and manages the whole process from sowing, growing and harvesting the best quality of tomatoes for nine months per year. The availability of the tomatoes season is from April until November.
Tomatoes, similar to the other protected (under greenhouse) crops (such as cucumber) are relatively competitive, as cli-matic conditions in the best production areas allow produc-tion without artificial heating for at least 9 months of the year
Tomatoes Varieties – There are different types of tomatoes plants. Tomatoes can be determinate or indeterminate, depending on the time of crop, is it all at once, or tomato continues producing fruits until killed by frost. Determinate Tomatoes grow in bushes and usually have 60-90cm in height, while indeterminate is vining varieties and are 1.5-3m tall. While determinate types flower and give fruits all at once, indeterminate continue to grow and give fruit at a different time, but produce larger crops over a longer period.
The varieties that are mainly cultivated:
RED TOMATOES
VINE TOMATOES
PINK TOMATOES
CHERRY TOMATOES
Red tomatoes - These are classic familiar, round variety and are the most popular type of tomato. They are good for salads, grilling, baking or frying. Vine tomatoes – The vine tomatoes as the name suggests, are grown like vines. Vine tomatoes are a fruit, or more exactly berries. Compared to the classic tomato they are smaller and grow in clusters. Because of their size and ripening, they have a more intense taste. The principal kinds are the cherry tomatoes, piccadilly, plum tomatoes and the Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio. Cherry tomatoes are called that because of their shape: round and small, just a little bigger than a cherry. This variety, depending on origin and color, has different names
Cucumbers are cultivated in 200 hectares of land with a production capacity of 6000 tons of first-class cucumbers. Cucumber has a great diversity of varieties. The size, section shape, color of the skin, it is a more or less bitter taste, are some of the characteristics that differentiate one from the other. There are many varieties of cucumber, each one of them with different characteristics. They vary in shape, size, and the color of the skin or the presence of a greater or smaller amount of thorns. However, we can classify all the varieties in two large groups: cucumbers and gherkins. Cucumbers are usually consumed fresh and are the varieties with relatively large fruits. At the same time, cucumbers can also be classified in several types: oval type, medium-large cylindrical and large cylindrical. The availability of cucumber season is from April until December.

TangerinesTangerine trees are easy to grow due to the geographic position of our coun-try and the good climate. They grow best in sunny positions although they are cold-tolerant and can grow in a wide range of climates. The young trees also need regular watering. Tangerine trees are evergreens and do not lose their leaves in winter. The leaves are glossy and green and the tree produces fragrant, white flowers.Around 150 hectares of greenhouses are cultivated with a variety of tangerine which is clementine with a 3000 tons production capacity of first-class quali-ty. Mandarins are a good source of vitamin C and vitamin A, which are impor-tant for the development and maintenance of the immune system. A clemen-tine also contains minerals such as manganese, magnesium, and potassium. They also are rich in fiber and nutrients. Clementines are the smallest member of the mandarin family and are seedless. The peel is smooth, glossy and deep orange. The availability season for mandarin is from October until January

StrawberriesThe cultivation of strawberries remains a lucrative business for our business. The production of strawberries in our cultivated greenhouses is growing year after year with the increased demand in the domestic market and international mar-kets as well.Strawberries fruits are available along 8 months, from November to June whereas the seeds are grown according to modern and strict standards of quality which have lower environmental impact compared to other horticultural crops that have fewer fertilizer requirements. Varietal innovation led to recent varieties such as Sabrina, Alba, but also we keep growing classic varieties like Camarosa. We cultivate around 40 hectares of greenhouses with strawberry. The capacity production of the first-class strawberry is 2400 tons. It is, however, susceptible to drought and requires moisture-retaining soil or irrigation by furrow or sprinkler. Our land and good soil conditions make suitable for growing strawberries with-out the need of using chemicals, therefore giving a better quality of strawberries. Therefore, the strawberry’ demand has been increased by our partners

Watermelons are cultivated in 130 hectares of land with a first-class production capacity of 7000 tons. The main types of cultivated watermelons are long type and normal type. Watermelons differ also in taste; therefore some types can be sweeter depending on the shape and ripe period. The availability of watermelon season is from May to August.
Most of the watermelons produced in Albania are variations of the Crimson Sweet vari-ety including Florida, Galaxy, Valentina, Paradise, Obla, Top Gun, Star, and others.
Demand for watermelon is traditionally correlated to the weather: as the temperature increases, so the demand for watermelon increases. There is strong demand in both the domestic and export markets for early season watermelon. Furthermore, Albania is geographically well-suited to producing early season watermelon. The overall trend is an increased demand for our watermelons from both the EU and the Balkan countries

Currently, the greenhouses are cultivated with about 100 hectares with pepper with a capacity production of 5000 tons of the first-class production. The varieties of peppers that are mainly cultivated are kapia, bianca, green pepper, yellow pepper, sombork. The availability of peppers season is from April until December.
Quality and good control of storage to the final consumers in international markets has increased in recent years. Therefore, the demand for the pepper for exportation is at a very high level.

Apple is one of the main fruits produced in Albania and it is one of the most important fruit products in the Albanian household consumer basket. The domestic apple con-sumption is dominated by local production; however, imports are significant, while exports are low (when compared to both production and imports). This increase is driven by both increased cultivation area and increased yields, reflecting improved technologies and know-how. Domestic market and the supply conditions (soil and climate, human capital and tradition) have been the main drivers of apple sector de-velopment. The apple value chain is considered a priority sector considering both import substitution and export potential. The most widely cultivated varieties in our fields are the two red delicious (red chief and starking) derivatives that are both referred to locally as “Starking” which lead the production capacity 52 % of fruit trees followed by Golden Delicious with 42% and other types of trees with apples include 6 %, including some other traditional varieties grown in the region such as Gala, Mutsu ( Golden Delicious derivative), and Granny Smith apple. The availability season for apples is from January to March and from October to December.

Delicious and packed with nutrition, melons have delighted farmers for years. Being specialized with planting and cultivating in greenhouses with the latest irrigation techniques we are able to produce various varieties of melons provid-ing customers with different tastes and preferences.
Melons come in a wide range of sizes, shapes, and colors, providing a mul-titude of options for summertime fare. All melons grow best in fertile, well-drained soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. The main varieties cultivated in our greenhouses are Cantaloupe and Galia type. The availability season for melons is from April until November.

The cultivation of leek is not that easy for approximately 100 hectares of land but our know-how and experience in the cultivation process as well our suitable soil and climate make perfect conditions for the cul-tivation process. The cultivation is subdivided in several ways, but the most common types are “summer leeks”, intended for harvest in the season when planted, and overwintering leeks, meant to be harvested in the spring of the year following planting. The availability season for leek is from January to May

Sufficient irrigation, the sun-covered field, with a refresh-ing wind almost throughout the season and the high ded-ication to work, gives the effect to qualitative products to almost hundreds of acres of open field and greenhouses. There are two main types of cabbages that are the spring cabbage and winter cabbage. The availability season of cabbage is from January to May.
